This project was completed for a national business based in Melbourne that owns various assets throughout Australia. ADKO manages their Sydney portfolio. The Punchbowl factory had a mixed roof construction: the front was an old, rusted metal clip-lock roof, and the rear was an asbestos super six sheeting roof.
The asbestos removal was carried out during the Christmas holidays while the tenancy was not in use, followed by a thorough forensic clean, appropriate covering of all tools and equipment below, and post-removal air monitoring to confirm the space was safe for re-occupation. The roofing team then worked closely with the asbestos contractors to renew the entire roof in a single day, delivering a watertight result without any disruption to the tenant's day-to-day operations.
